What should I do if the IRS wants to garnish pay from the company I sub contract for?

I am the sub contractor. The IRS wants to garnish pay from the company I subcontract from. I am not an employee.

If you owe the taxes due you are not going to get away from the IRS. The best you can hope for is a reduction of the amount they attach. You will need a tax attorney to assist you.

The IRS can levy from anyone who owes you money, whether it is an employer, a bank or anyone else who owes money to you.
